Abstract

An FM multiplex broadcast receiver which interrupts a specific broadcast program by a broadcast station different from a broadcast station being received for reception by means of other expanded network information (EON). The receiver includes a control unit (20) which receives a notice that the specific broadcast program is started by a different broadcast station, searches for the different station having a limited coverage, and check off the station from subsequent searches when the reception is determined to be impossible.
