Abstract

In a casing (11) of a humidity adjusting device (10), a first bypass path (81) is formed along one of facing side plates and a second bypass path (82) is formed along the other. Further, in the casing (11), a first heat exchanger chamber (37) and a second heat exchanger chamber (38) are formed next to each other in the left-right direction between the two bypass paths (81, 82). The first heat exchanger chamber (37) receives a first adsorption heat exchanger (51), and the second heat exchanger chamber (38) receives a second adsorption heat exchanger (52). The adsorption heat exchangers (51, 52) carry adsorption agents. In operation where the humidity of air is not adjusted, a first bypass damper (83) and a second bypass damper (84) are opened and the air is drawn into an air supply fan (26) or an air discharge fan (25) after passing through the bypass paths (81, 82). The construction suppresses accumulation of odorous substances on the adsorption heat exchangers (51, 52) during operation where the humidity of air is not adjusted.
