Abstract

When an input of a destination is received from a key pad (30), coordinates of the present position and those of the destination position are measured. A mobile terminal device (10) then calculates a direction of the destination in accordance with the coordinates of the destination with respect to the measured coordinates and monitors its own direction where it directs. Subsequently, the mobile terminal device (10) controls a camera (50) so as to pick up a landscape image in its own direction when the calculated direction of the destination is consistent with the monitored own direction and provides a display unit (60) with an output of the picked-up landscape image indicating that its own direction is the direction of the destination. Namely, a user confirms the direction of the destination by looking at the landscape output to the display unit (60), steps forward to the output landscape, and can eventually arrive at the destination.
