Abstract

  素子の発光効率を改善し、駆動安定性を充分に確保し、かつ簡略な構成をもつ有機電界発光素子(有機EL素子)用化合物及びこれを使用した有機EL素子を提供する。  この有機EL素子用化合物は、芳香族基に結合するインドロカルバゾール骨格又はそれに類似する骨格を2つ有する化合物である。この有機EL素子は、基板上に積層された陽極と陰極の間に、発光層を有する有機電界発光素子であって、該発光層が、燐光発光性ドーパントと上記EL素子用化合物をホスト材料として含有する。
