Abstract
A first color blind patient recognizes “a deep red color” (R=255, G=0 and B=0) as almost “a black color”, and the patient cannot distinguish it from “the black color”. Further, the patient is very difficult to distinguish “a deep green color” in warm colors from “a brown color”. In the case where an input signal is “a deep red color”, an operation method of an image signal correcting means makes a corrected image signal of “a light red color” (R=255, G=51 and B=51) mixed slightly with a white color or “a cinnabar color” (R=255, G=51 and B=0) inclining to a short wavelength (orange color) by a detecting means for detecting “the deep red color”, a correction signal generating means for generating a correction signal in accordance with the detected result, and a correcting means for correcting an input signal in accordance with the correction signal.
