Abstract

It is intended to impart an excellent property to a stopper for a drug solution container to be used for, for example, an infusion bag. A medical thermoplastic elastomer composition containing 150 to 250 parts by mass of a softener having a kinematic viscosity at 40°C of from 20 to 300 centistokes, 10 to 50 parts by mass of polypropylene having a melt flow rate (ASTM D 1238, 230°C, 2.16 kgf) of 10 or less and a flexural modulus (23°C) of 1200 MPa or more and 0.1 to 5 parts by mass of a lubricant relative to 100 parts by mass of a styrene/ethylene-butylene/styrene block copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of 300,000 to 500,000 and a styrene content of 20% by mass or more, and having a hardness in accordance with a durometer hardness test method defined in JIS K 6253 of from A30 to A50, and a stopper for a drug solution container 3 comprising the medical thermoplastic elastomer are provided. The stopper 3 has excellent properties that it has good moldability, a needle is easily inserted in the stopper because of the addition of a lubricant, a liquid does not leak when the needle is removed from the stopper 3, and further, the needle inserted in the stopper 3 does not easily come off.
