Abstract

 本発明は二次電池からなる電源システムおよび組電池の充電方法に関し、より詳しくは簡易的な定電圧充電器を用いても電源である組電池を劣化させない技術に関する。 本発明の目的は、単位重量当りのエネルギー密度が鉛蓄電池よりも高い二次電池を定電圧で充電する場合において、過充電により二次電池が変形するおそれを低減し、安全性を向上することができる電源システム、及び充電方法を提供することである。 本発明は、複数の素電池が、直列に接続された組電池と、前記組電池に、一定の定格充電電圧Vc を印加して充電する定電圧充電器とを備えた電源システム及び組電池の充電方法において、前記複数の素電池におけるそれぞれの平均放電電圧の合計である合計電圧Vx、及び前記定格充電電圧Vc を、0.98Vx≦Vc≦1.15Vxの関係を満たすように、設定するものである。
