Abstract

An electrical connector assembly that realizes not only miniaturization of housing but also assured press contact of electric wire. In the electrical connector assembly (10) adopting a system for press-contacting an electric wire (100) to contact (32) of a plug connector (30), it is designed that the condition of fitting between a plug housing (31) and a receptacle housing (21) can be surely restrained by means of slide member (60). Accordingly, the side face (31b) of the plug housing (31) is worked into a substantially flat surface to thereby attain, while miniaturizing the plug housing (31), assured press contact of the electric wire (100).
