Abstract

A plasma display panel capable of reducing a discharge delay during an address period. The plasma display panel (10) includes a first substrate (FS) and a second substrate (RS) which face each other across a discharge space (DS). First bus electrodes (Xb) and second bus electrodes (Yb) extending in a first direction (D1) are provided on the first substrate. First display electrodes (Xt) and second display electrodes (Yt) are connected to the first bus electrode and the second bus electrode, respectively, and both extend in a second direction (D2) orthogonal to the first direction. Further, a dielectric layer (DL1) covering the first and second bus electrodes and the first and second display electrodes is provided on the first substrate, and address electrodes (AE) are provided on the dielectric layer. Each of the address electrodes is provided with a projection (AP) which projects toward the adjacent second display electrode and faces the second display electrode across the dielectric layer.
