Abstract

Provided is a manufacturing method for layering a rectilinear polarization plate having a protection film on at least one of its surfaces and a resin film such as a phase difference film via an ultraviolet hardening adhesive. This provides a thin optical film layered body having an excellent durability, an excellent external view, and an excellent absorption degree which can be manufactured with a high productivity. A display device using the layered body is also provided. The ultraviolet hardening adhesive is hardened by applying light having a peak luminance at 365 nm which is not greater than 600 mW/cm2 and a value obtained by dividing the peak illuminance at the wavelength by an accumulated light amount (unit: mJ/cm2) which is not greater than 0.25. The accumulated light amount is preferably not smaller than 1,500 mJ/cm2. The layered body can be used as a component of a liquid crystal display device, an organic field light emission display device, a touch panel, and the like.
