Abstract

A process for producing core/shell semiconductor nanoparticles of high luminescence intensity; and a core/shell semiconductor nanoparticle aggregate produced by the process. The process for producing core/shell semiconductor nanoparticles is one including forming core particles using an inverted micelle according to microemulsion technique and continuously forming shells, characterized in that the ratio of distribution coefficient logarithm of the forming field at core formation (LogPC) to distribution coefficient logarithm of the forming field at shell formation (LogPS), LogPC/LogPS satisfies the relationship of the formula: 0.5≤LogPC/LogPS≤0.9 (1).
