More particularly, the invention relates to an offshore oil production platform which includes a deck extending above the level of sea and connected to a lower base with connecting legs extending substantially vertically. The present invention also relates to a method of installing and de-installing the oil production platform.

Water jets are used to clear out the sediment or mud. Then the explosives are lowered down to a minimum depth of 15ft below the sea bed through the hollow pilings.   • All the above mentioned platforms have a disadvantage when the oil in the well is in a depletion stage. Most of the platforms are not moveable and re-useable at a new oil production site. Another disadvantage is that the platforms are used for transporting the extracted oil from the deck through long and expensive pipelines up to a carrier vessel where the oil is kept in a storage tank before being loaded onto the carrier vessel. Another disadvantage of the above mentioned platforms is the method of installation. Most of the methods mentioned above encounters problems on lowering the legs and raising the deck up and above the water.

La présente invention concerne une plate-forme de production pétrolière au large. Cette plate-forme comprend un pont (12) et une sous-structure (10) comprenant une pluralité de chambres à ballast (20) et au moins un tronçon de connexion (16) connecté des chambres à ballast (20) au pont (12). Les chambres à ballast (20) comprennent au moins un compartiment de stockage de pétrole (22), au moins un compartiment à ballast (24) et au moins un compartiment de pression d'air (26). Le compartiment de stockage du pétrole et du gaz (22) est destiné au stockage du pétrole et du gaz traités. Lors de l'installation de la plate-forme, les chambres à ballast (20) sont lestées d'eau de mer (46), ce qui permet d'abaisser les tronçons de connexion (16) vers le fond marin (34). Une fois que les chambres à ballast (20) atteignent le fond marin (34), des moyens de verrouillage sont actionnés en position de verrouillage pour empêcher le mouvement de la sous-structure (10) de la plate-forme. Le pont (12) est déplacé à une hauteur prédéterminée depuis le niveau de la mer par des moyens de levage. Une fois le pétrole extrait, il est ensuite traité et séparé en pétrole et en essence traités. Ce pétrole et cette essence traités sont ensuite stockés dans le compartiment de stockage de pétrole et de gaz (22). Le pétrole et l'essence sont ensuite transférés à une bouée puis chargés sur les bateaux citernes par des conduits de connexion. Lors de la désinstallation de la plate-forme de production de pétrole, les chambres à ballast (20) sont délestées en vidangeant l'eau de mer (46) contenue dans le compartiment à ballast (24). Ensuite, la sous-structure (10) de la plate-forme remonte pour atteindre le pont (12). Lorsque la base (14) touche le pont (12), les moyens de verrouillage sont actionnés pour verrouiller la sous-structure (10) au pont (12). Finalement, la plate-forme de production de pétrole est remorquée vers sa nouvelle destination pour une nouvelle extraction de pétrole.
