Abstract
An equipment control system (1) is a learning remote control system for controlling the operation of a plurality of pieces of AV equipment of an AV system built in home for each user through a communication network (4) and comprises an equipment control server (2) and an equipment control client (3). The equipment control server (2) stores remote control data and state data on which it has learned about equipment to be controlled and performs time schedule management. The equipment control client (3) transmits the remote control data received according to the time schedule management of the equipment control server (2) to the equipment to be controlled at the execution date and time, acquires the state data from the equipment to be controlled after the transmission, and transmits it to the equipment control server (2). The equipment control server (2) compares the received state data with the learned and pre-stored state data to judge the state of the equipment to be controlled.
