Abstract

Disclosed is an inexpensive microneedle device for use in the diagnosis of an allergy, which can achieve clear determination on the skin in an allergy diagnosis within a short period by a simple operation. The microneedle device (1) comprises: a microneedle substrate (2); microneedles (3) which are provided on the substrate at a density of 100 to 10000 pieces per 1 cm2, can puncture the skin, and has a length of 50 to 500 μm; and an antigen-holding means (4) which is provided on each of the microneedles and can hold at least one allergy antigen thereon. The microneedles (3) can be produced using a non-metallic, synthetic or natural resin material.
