Abstract

A modular formwork system, comprising a plurality of longitudinally adjacent exterior formwork members, and a plurality of longitudinally adjacent interior formwork members laterally spaced from corresponding exterior formwork members, wherein adjacent formwork members are detachably coupled together; one or more exterior beams longitudinally extending along the length of, and detachably coupled to, the plurality of exterior formwork members; one or more interior beams longitudinally extending along the length of, and detachably coupled to, the plurality of interior formwork members; and a surface of first elements releasably attached to the plurality of exterior formwork members and a surface of second elements releasably attached to the plurality of interior formwork members, the surface of first elements and the surface of second elements defining a cavity therebetween in which concrete for constructing a wall is pourable.
