Abstract

 現像性が良好で且つカブリが無く、ハーフトーン部位においても黒色度が高く、濃度ムラのない画像を安定的に形成可能な磁性トナーを提供する。結着樹脂及び磁性酸化鉄粒子を少なくとも含有する磁性トナー粒子を有する磁性トナーであって、磁性酸化鉄粒子は、磁性酸化鉄粒子を酸水溶液に溶解し溶解液を得、磁性酸化鉄粒子が全て溶解された溶解液中に含まれるFe元素量を総Fe元素量としたときに、総Fe元素量の10質量%が溶解液に存在する状態まで磁性酸化鉄粒子が溶解された溶解液(Fe元素溶解率10質量%溶解液)中に含まれるFe元素量に対するFe元素溶解率10質量%溶解液中に含まれるFe(2+)量の割合Xが34質量%以上50質量%以下であり、該磁性トナーは、温度40°Cで測定される誘電正接が、(a)周波数10,000Hzにおける誘電正接Aが1.0×10-6以上1.0×10-1以下、(b)周波数1,000Hzにおける誘電正接Bが1.0×10-6以上1.0×10-1以下、(c)誘電正接Aの誘電正接Bに対する比(A/B)が0.10以上10.00以下、を満足することを特徴とする磁性トナー。
