Abstract
Disclosed is a bis(terpyridine) compound metal assembled body wherein some kinds of metals are precisely assembled by complexation. This bis(terpyridine) compound metal assembled body can be multi-colored when used as an electrochromic material. Also disclosed are a hybrid polymer, a method for producing the hybrid polymer and use of the hybrid polymer. Specifically disclosed is a bis(terpyridine) compound metal assembled body, which is characterized by being composed of an asymmetric bis(terpyridine) compound represented by the formula (1) below and at least two kinds of transition metal ions complexing with the compound. (In the formula (1), A represents a hydrocarbon group; and B1 and B2 represent different terpyridyl groups represented by the following formula (2): (wherein R1 and R2 independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent).)
