Abstract

Compositions and methods for alleviating or preventing discoloration in flame-retarded flexible polyurethane foams, known as 'scorching', are provided. The anti-scorch compositions contain antioxidant agents combined with at least one, and preferably with two, additional compounds selected from -diketone, epoxy compounds, organic phosphites or phosphonites, and metal salts of carboxylic acids.
