Abstract

Coffee maker comprising a hollow maker body (2) including, in a lower portion, a tank (3) for the containment of water used for forming a coffee mixture and a filter (4) adapted to contain the coffee powder to be mixed with said water when this is brought to a boil. Such filter is positionable inside the maker body in a manner such to permit the separation of the water tank from a compartment (6) for the formed coffee drink.

Claims

AMENDED CLAIMS received by the International Bureau on August 26, 2008
1. Coffee maker comprising a hollow maker body (2) including, in a lower portion, a tank (3) for the containment of water used for forming a coffee mixture and a filter (4) adapted to contain the coffee powder to be mixed with said water when this is brought to a boil, such a filter being positionable inside the maker body in a manner such to allow the separation of the water tank from a compartment (6) for the formed coffee drink, such a lower portion is equipped with a double wall such to form a circumferential interspace (V) , and that such a filter (4) comprises a container (41) for the coffee and a circular section base portion having a circumferential channel (D) open on its lower part and adapted to be associated with the interspace V, so to permit the passage of the water vapour or liquid from the interspace V up to contact with the coffee powder contained in the container 41 characterised in that a tank has an outer wall (32) as well as a shaped inner wall (33) provided with a first series of holes (331) made on a base portion of such an inner wall and a second series of holes (332) placed on an upper end portion of such an inner wall.
2. Coffee maker according to claim 1, wherein such a filter is reclosable by a capsule (5) associated with the maker body in a removable manner.
3. Coffee maker according to claim 1, wherein the container (41) is delimited on its lower part by a perforated disc (42) , adapted to allow the passage of liquid/water vapour inside the container (41) .

Coffee maker according to claim 3, wherein such base portion comprises an outer wall (43) , a central stem (45) connected at one end thereof to the disc (42) and connected at the opposite end to an inner wall (46) , such that between such outer and inner walls and the stem, such a channel (D) is formed, provided with a lower annular opening (47) and terminating on the lower surface of said disc (42) .
5. Coffee maker according to claim 4, wherein such an outer wall has an intermediate neck (44) .

Coffee maker according to claim 1, wherein the lower annular opening (47) has a size such that the filter, inserted in the body of the maker, abuts against a closure ring (31) which delimits such tank for the liquid (3) on its upper part, such a ring being perforated such that the liquid coming from the tank (3) through the interspace (V) is inserted in the channel (D) .
7. Coffee maker according to claim 1, wherein such a capsule (5) comprises a perforated annular portion, adapted to be associated with the container (41) mouth which allows the coffee to exit from the filter and be deposited in the compartment (6) for the formed coffee drink.
8. Coffee maker according to claim 7, wherein an arm (51) , pivoted on a pin which is preferably placed on a handle (23) of the maker body, can rotate and bring an end (52) thereof to lock the capsule (5) on the filter.
9. Coffee maker according to claim 8, wherein such an arm can lock and unlock the capsule by means of a snap mechanism.
10. Coffee maker according to claim 4, wherein the edges of the lower annular opening (47) are covered with seals (48) adapted to make the contact between the filter and the tank (3) hermetic.
