Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur kontinuierlichen Herstellung von Prepregs (11), bei dem ein Faserstrang (2) aus zumindest parallel zueinander ausgerichteten Fasern mit einer noch nicht abgebundenen Kunststoffmatrix (14) benetzt sowie an seiner Oberseite und an seiner Unterseite mit einer Abdeckmaterialbahn (3, 4) abgedeckt wird, und bei dem der mit den Abdeckmaterialbahnen (3, 4) abgedeckte kunststoffmatriximprägnierte Faserstrang (2) schließlich als Prepreg (11) in vorbestimmte Längen abgeschnitten oder zu einer Rolle aufgerollt wird. Mit der Erfindung soll erreicht werden, dass die Fasern in gewünschter Ausrichtung in eine diesbezügliche Fertigungsvorrichtung (1) gelangen und dort mit der unteren und der oberen Abdeckmaterialbahn (3, 4) derart belegt werden, dass die flüssige Kunststoffmatrix in ausreichender Menge zu allen Fasern des Faserstranges (2) gelangt, dass der Umfang von Faserbruch minimiert und eine Faltung der Fasern quer zur Längserstreckung des Faserstranges (2) vermieden wird. Hierzu ist gemäß der Erfindung vorgesehen, dass der Faserstrang (2) mit der nicht abgebundenen Kunststoffmatrix (14) und den beiden Abdeckmaterialbahnen (3, 4) auf einem konvex gekrümmten und beheizten Heiztisch (6) zusammengeführt wird.
