Definitions

  • the present invention concerns a towage unit with motor for use in connection with transporting units with one or more freely movable wheels, where these units are coupled to the towage unit via a coupling system, and where the towage unit has at least one drive wheel, and a transport system including such a towage unit.
  • the invention concerns a towage unit.
  • This towage unit has a frame, where the frame extends at least a length along one side and at least a length along at least one end of the unit to be transported. In this way there may be ensured a good and firm grip on the unit to be transported while at the same time achieving a sturdy frame for the towage unit itself.
  • wheels are fitted at or in the proximity of the ends of the towing unit, where at least one wheel at each end of the towage unit is adapted for control and is connected with a central control handle that may be adjustable in height, and where the handles may also be designed so that they may be adjusted according to the wish of the operator.
  • control means are connected so that when a rear guiding wheel is turned to the right, a front guiding wheel is turned to the left.
  • This type of control is known normally as 4- wheel steering, but in connection with the invention it is used as controlling one or more guide wheels at the front and of one or more guide wheels at the rear, and it may thus only comprise two wheels in this connection. Further wheels may, however, be fitted both at the front and at the rear in order to achieve a stable design.
