Description

CENTURION TYPE ANTI-RECOIL DEVICE SLIDING BUTT STOCK
The invention refers to a centurion type anti-recoil device sliding butt stock of a firearm intended for poratble firearms of middle and big calibre.
From the patent US 3 754 344 it is known an anti-recoil device comprising a scissors-type recoil absorber mechanism. It has a central axial-rciprocating rod member wich extends within a passage. The outer threaded end of said rod engages a hollow gunstock end member. The mechanism further includes spring-tensioned coaxial members housed within cavities and connected with said central rod member by means of lever arms arranged in a V-shape configuration. Both the longitudinal rod and said lever arms are provided with slots in the area of their engaging. The recoil energy is absorbed by movement of said rod and changing the position of the lever arms in the same time with compression of said springs.
Another example of anti-recoil mechanism is disclosed in the patent US 5 974 718. This device is provided with a piston ram which moves in a reciprocating manner within a bore and is connected with an oscilating lever arm which on the one hand is connected with said piston ram and on the other hand with a spring which during the firing extends and absorbes the recoil energy.
