  • a generated PIN number associated with a nominal amount of funds to increase the calling credit would be printed on the receipt.
  • the user may then proceed through the above described steps contacting the payment server.
  • the described invention allows third parties to increase a calling credit on an existing mobile phone. That is, the user of the mobile phone does not have to be the actual person requesting the calling credit increase.
  • the person requesting the increase may be the parent of the mobile phone user, or may be a carer for a disabled person using the mobile phone.
  • the present invention allows telecommunication carriers to utilise a convenient top up option for their subscribers, without the need for costly overheads associated with printing, storage and distribution of top up cards.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant d'augmenter le crédit d'appel sur un compte de téléphonie mobile existant. Le procédé consiste à recevoir et à traiter une demande d'augmentation de crédit d'appel d'un compte associé à un téléphone mobile au niveau d'un serveur de paiement. Ensuite, le serveur de paiement transmet un paiement à une entreprise de télécommunication prenant en charge le compte associé au téléphone mobile. Le serveur de paiement est indépendant de l'entreprise de télécommunication et le crédit d'appel d'un compte de téléphonie mobile existant est augmenté lorsque le paiement est reçu au niveau de l'entreprise de télécommunication.
