Abstract

The present invention concerns an engine block comprising at least one drive module which itself comprises at least a first engine stage, this engine stage comprising a first piston (103) guided inside a first cylinder (101) and also comprising a first coupling unit for coupling this first piston to a first drive shaft (104). Moreover, the first coupling unit comprises means (105-107) for transmitting the movement of the first piston (103) to the first drive shaft (104) in only one direction.
