Description

Description
POWDER PUMPING APPARATUS OF COSMETICS
CONTAINER
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a powder pumping apparatus of a cosmetics container, and more particularly, to a powder pumping apparatus of a cosmetics container that prevents powder from gushing out from a cover when a user opens a cap of the cosmetics container, and in that powder is not discharged to the cover when the user does not use the cosmetics container and powder is discharged in small quantities by a pumping action when the user applies make-up so that the user can make up conveniently. Background Art
[2] As shown in FIG. 10, a conventional cosmetics container comprises a body 10, a connecting member 20, a puff 30, a cover 40, and a cap 50.
[3] The body 10 has a reservoir 11 formed inside for containing powder and a first threaded portion 12 formed along an upper outer circumference for screw coupling to the connecting member 20.
[4] The connecting member 20 has a second threaded portion 21 formed along a lower inner circumference to be screw coupled to the first threaded portion 12 of the body 10.
[5] The connecting member 20 has a joining hole 22 formed in the center of a top thereof for installing the puff 30, and a step portion 23 formed along an upper outer circumference.
[6] The puff 30 has a joining groove 31 formed along a lower outer circumference to be engaged with the joining hole 22 of the connecting member 20, and a discharge hole 32, formed inside the puff 30, extending from an upper portion of the puff 30 to the lower portion thereof for discharging powder contained in the reservoir 11 of the body 10.
[7] The cover 40 is connected to the puff 30 and comes in direct contact with the skin of a user for make-up.
[8] The cap 50 is detachably installed on the step portion 23 of the connecting member
20 for preventing impurities from adhering to the cover 40.
[9] With the conventional cosmetics container having the above-described configuration, the user holds the body 10 and separates the cap 50 from the body 10 for make-up.
[10] In the state that the cap 50 is separated from the body 10, if the user pats the cover
40 on her skin, powder contained in the body 10 moves towards the cover 40 through the discharge hole 32 of the puff 30 and is discharged through the surface of the cover
40.
[11] If powder is discharged through the surface of the cover 40, the user applies makeup using the discharged powder. [12] However, when the user separates the cap 50 from the connecting member 20 for make-up, powder remaining in the puff 30 gushes out. [13] The user inhales the gushed powder through her respiratory organs, and thus it injures the user's health and the user is reluctant to use the cosmetics container. [14] Because generally the user locates the cosmetics container in a handbag, swing of the handbag causes movement of powder contained in the reservoir 11 of the body 10 towards the cover 40 through the discharge hole 32 of the puff 30, and consequently a large quantity of powder gathers at the cover 40. [15] As a result, a large quantity of the powder is lumped at a portion of the cover 40, which prevents the user from applying make-up as desired. [16] The conventional cosmetics container is not provided with the puff 30 having a function for controlling the discharge of powder, and thus the user cannot control the amount of powder. Thereby phenomenon occurs that powder is lumped on the skin of the user. [17] In order to solve the above problem, the applicant suggested a solution in Korean
Utility Model Registration No. 417160 issued on May 25, 2006 (hereinafter referred to as an applicant's prior art). [18] The applicant's prior art has such a configuration that a pumping member discharges powder at a cushion member by a pumping action. [19] However, similarly to the conventional cosmetics container, because a guide protrusion of the pumping member of the applicant's prior art does not close a powder discharge hole of a silicon cushion member, in the case that the cosmetics container is located in the handbag, powder is discharged through the powder discharge hole due to swing of the handbag. [20] The discharged powder remains at a cover, and if a user opens a cap in such a state, powder gushes out from the cover. [21] In addition, because the size of the guide protrusion of the pumping member is the same as the size of the powder discharge hole of the silicon cushion member, it results in poor discharge of powder during a pumping operation, thereby causing inconvenient make-up.
Disclosure of Invention
Technical Problem [22] The present invention is made to solve the above problems, and therefore it is an object of the present invention to provide a powder pumping apparatus of a cosmetics container that prevents powder from remaining at a powder discharge member thereby reducing the possibility that powder gushes out when a cap is opened.
[23] In addition, it is another object of the present invention to provide a powder pumping apparatus of a cosmetics container, by which when an user pats a cover on her skin for make-up, powder is discharged through the cover in small quantities during a pumping operation so that the user can apply make-up conveniently while controlling the amount of powder.
[24] Further, it is another object of the present invention to provide a powder pumping apparatus of a cosmetics container which prevents powder from moving towards the cover due to swing by movement of the user when the cosmetics container is reserved in, for example, a handbag thereby to reduce phenomenon that powder is lumped at a portion of the cover when the user applies make-up and prevents waste of powder caused by inadvertent discharge of powder. Technical Solution
[25] In order to achieve the above-mentioned objects, in a powder pumping apparatus of a cosmetics container for discharging powder by a pumping action according to the present invention comprising a body having a reservoir; a connecting member connected to an upper portion of the body; a pumping member installed on an upper portion of the connecting member; a cover installed on the pumping member; and a cap connected to the connecting member, the powder pumping apparatus includes a powder discharge member formed in a curved shape and having a guide member formed at the center of a bottom thereof and a plurality of powder discharge holes; a coupling member having an upper portion coupled to the powder discharge member and formed in the shape of a funnel having a powder receiving portion and a through hole; and a joining member joined to a lower end of the guide member inserted in the through hole of the coupling member at a predetermined distance.
Advantageous Effects
[26] As described above, the present invention has an effect that because a joining member blocks a passage through which powder moves inadvertently to a cover due to swing by movement of an user when a cosmetics container is reserved in, for example, a handbag, it prevents movement of powder resulted from the swing thereby to prevent gush of powder caused by the difference of pressure when the user opens a cap.
[27] Further, the present invention has another effect that when a user pats a cover on her skin for make-up, powder moves towards the cover in small quantities during a pumping action due to a reciprocal movement of a powder discharge member installed on a coupling member thereby to control the amount of powder. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention [46] Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the present invention are described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. [47] FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a pumping apparatus of a cosmetics container in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, FIG.
2 is a perspective view illustrating that elements of the pumping apparatus of the cosmetics container are connected in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the pumping apparatus of the cosmetics container in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 4 is an installation view illustrating that the pumping apparatus is applied to a cosmetics container in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, FIGS. 5 through 8 are views of various examples of the pumping apparatus of the cosmetics container of FIG. 1, and FIG. 9 is an exploded cross- sectional view of a conventional cosmetics container.
[48] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 9, a pumping apparatus 100 according to the present invention includes a powder discharge member 110, a coupling member 120 and a joining member 130.
[49] The powder discharge member 110 is formed in a curved shape, and has a guide member 112 formed at the center of a bottom thereof and a plurality of discharge holes 111.
[50] A plurality of the discharge holes 111 is formed radially on an upper portion of the powder discharge member 110, and each of the discharge hole 111 is formed to have a larger bottom diameter than a top diameter.
[51] The shape of the discharge hole 111 may be not limited to a circle as shown in
FIGS. 1 to 4, and as shown in FIGS 5 to 8 the discharge hole 111 may be formed in various shapes of, for example, a square, a triangle, a star and a heart.
[52] The powder discharge member 110 has a fixing protrusion 113 having a joining hole 114 formed at the center of the bottom thereof, and one end of the guide member 112 is fixed at the joining hole 114 and the other end of the guide member 112 is joined to the guide member 130.
[53] The powder discharge member 110 is formed in a curved shape, and the thickness of a peripheral portion is thinner than that of a central portion so that the powder discharge member 110 has elasticity during a pumping operation.
[54] The coupling member 120 has an upper portion coupled to the powder discharge member 110, is formed in the shape of a funnel having a predetermined curvature, and has a powder receiving portion 121.
[55] The coupling member 120 has a through hole 124 formed at the center of the powder receiving portion 121 having a predetermined length, and a stop member 122 formed around the through hole 124. The stop member 122 has a stop protrusion 123.
[56] The curvature of the powder discharge member 110 is symmetrical with that of the coupling member 120, which controls a pumping force. The curvatures of the powder discharge member 110 and the coupling member 120 may be set variously in the manufacture process by a manufacturer.
[57] The joining member 130 is joined to a lower end of the guide member 112 of the powder discharge member 110 inserted in the through hole 124 of the coupling member 120 at a predetermined distance.
[58] The joining member 130 is formed in the shape of a cylinder as shown in drawings and has a joining groove 131 formed on an upper portion thereof, to which the guide member 112 is joined. [59] In the present invention having the above configuration, first the guide member 112 of the powder discharge member 110 is inserted in the through hole 124 of the coupling member 120. [60] In the state that the guide member 112 is inserted in the through hole 124, the lower end of the guide member 112 is joined to the joining groove 131 of the joining member
130. [61] In the state that the powder discharge member 110, coupling member 120 and joining member 130 are connected together, the stop member 122 formed at a bottom of the coupling member 120 is installed to be engaged with a connecting hole (not shown) of the connecting member 20. [62] In the state that the pumping apparatus 100 is installed on the connecting member
20, the pumping apparatus 100 is covered with the cover 40 for smooth touch on the user's skin. [63] In the state that the pumping apparatus 100 is connected to the connecting member
20, the reservoir 11 of the body 10 is provided with a predetermined amount of powder and the connecting member 20 is screw coupled to the upper portion of the body 10. [64] In the state of above-described connection, when the user holds the body 10 and applies make-up patting the cover 40 on her skin, the powder discharge member 110 makes a reciprocal movement repetitively such that the powder discharge member 110 is moved (pushed) towards the connecting member 120 and is restored to an original state. [65] If the powder discharge member 110 makes a reciprocal movement, the joining member 130 joined to the lower end of the guide member 112 makes a reciprocal movement accordingly, and thus the through hole 124 of the coupling member 120 is repetitively opened and closed. [66] A suction force is generated to the through hole 124 of the coupling member 120 due to the reciprocal movement of the powder discharge member 110. The suction force leads powder contained in reservoir 11 of the body 10 to the through hole 124 of the coupling member 120. [67] The powder moved to the through hole 124 of the coupling member 120 is located on the upper portion of the coupling member 120, and the powder located on the upper portion of the coupling member 120 is moved to the discharge holes 111 of the powder discharge member 110 by a pumping action. [68] The powder moved to the discharge holes 111 is discharged to the cover 40. In the state that the powder is discharged to the surface of the cover 40, the powder is in contact with the user's skin, and the user applies make-up using the powder. [69] The cap 50 is connected to the connecting member 20 in order to prevent impurities from adhering to the cover 40 and powder from adhering to an undesired portion after the user finishes make-up.
[70] In the state that the cap 50 is closed, the powder discharge member 110 is restored to an original state by its elasticity.
[71] At this time, the joining member 130 joined to the guide member 112 of the powder discharge member 110 blocks the through hole 124 of the coupling member 120, which prevents powder from moving to the cover 40 through the through hole 124.
[72] That is, because powder remaining on the pumping apparatus 100 after the user's make-up is located on the upper portion of the coupling member 120, phenomenon that powder gushes out due to the difference of pressure when the cap 50 is opened is primarily prevented by the powder discharge member 110.
[73] Further, pressure less than an initial pressure is applied to the powder discharge member 110, and pressure applied to the powder discharge member 110 at this time cannot go through the cover 40, thereby preventing powder from gushing out from the cover 40.
[74] Even though the user keeps the cosmetics container in, for example, a handbag (not shown) and carries the cosmetics container after the user finishes make-up, because the joining member 130 blocks one side of the through hole 124, powder cannot move to the cover 40, thereby preventing phenomenon that powder gushes out from the cover 40 when the cap 50 is opened.
[75] Although exemplary embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail hereinabove, it should be understood that many variations and modifications of the basic inventive concept herein described, which may appear to those skilled in the art, will still fall within the spirit and scope of the exemplary embodiments of the present invention as defined in the appended claims. Industrial Applicability
[76] The present invention provides the pumping apparatus of the cosmetics container that prevents powder from gushing out from the cover when the cap of the cosmetics container is opened, and when the user does not use the cosmetics container, prevents powder from discharging to the cover and when the user applies make-up, discharges powder in small quantities by a pumping action for convenient make-up.
