  • This invention relates generally to medication dispensers and more particularly to a multiple unit container including several unit-dose compartments. More particularly, this invention relates to a cover assembly for the medication dispenser which includes a plurality of individual covers connected together by fracturable links. Each of the covers includes a fracturable tab having means for facilitating the fracturing of the cover from the link.

Abstract

Ensemble formant couvercle pour distributeur de médicaments (12) comprenant un contenant définissant une pluralité de compartiments découverts pour médicaments (28) adaptés pour être fermés par un ensemble formant couvercle de compartiments (10) comprenant une pluralité de couvercles individuels (30) reliés entre eux de manière sélective. Chaque couvercle comprend une languette monobloc séparable (48) dépendant d'une extrémité et des moyens d'action conjointe sur le contenant destinés à fixer les languettes par encliquetage lorsque le couvercle est positionné afin de fermer ses compartiments respectifs. Chaque languette (48) est fixée de manière indépendante par rapport au contenant et est séparée de son couvercle respectif suite au mouvement vers le haut de l'extrémité opposée du couvercle pour ouvrir le compartiment. Dans un mode de réalisation, la languette présente une pluralité d'ouvertures (54) disposées à distance les unes des autres et formées à l'intérieur pour créer une zone affaiblie pour faciliter la séparation du couvercle par rapport à la languette. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, une paire d'encoches (60, 62) s'étendent dans les côtés de la languette. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, qui peut être utilisé avec les autres modes de réalisation, une paire de saillies (66, 68) disposées à distance les unes des autres s'étendent depuis ladite languette pour mettre en prise de manière pivotante le distributeur.
