Abstract

Bei einer Transversalflussmaschine hat der Läufer mehrere axial zueinander benachbart angeordnete Permanent-Magnetringe, die aus Einzelmagneten mit in radialer Richtung abwechselnder magnetischer Orientierung gebildet sind. Der Ständer umgibt den Läufer unter Bildung eines Luftspaltes zumindest abschnittsweise konzentrisch. Der Läufer hat mehrere Ständerspulen, die koaxial zu den Permanent- Magnetringen orientiert sind. Eine Ständerspule hat jeweils zwei Anschlüsse und ist an ihrer dem Luftspalt zu dem Läufer hin zugewandten Seite von weichmagnetischen, ineinander greifenden Polen überragt, die den Permanent-Magnetringen des Läufers zugewandt sind. Die Pole fluchten jeweils mit einzelnen der Einzelmagnete. Eine zu steuernde aktive Blindleistungsquelle hat für jeweils eine Ständerspule zwei Anschlüsse, mit denen die jeweilige Ständerspule verbunden ist. Einer Überwachungsanordnung stellt bei einem Störfall in einer der Ständerspulen Ansteuersignale für die aktive Blindleistungsquelle bereit, so dass die zwei Anschlüsse der jeweiligen Ständerspule niederohmig miteinander verbunden sind. Die Transversalflussmaschine ist insbesondere als Startergenerator für eine Turbomaschine ausgebildet und dabei drehfest mit einer rotierenden Welle der Turbomaschne gekoppelt.
