Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen eines Kaltbands mit ferritischem Gefüge, bei dem eine bei Abkühlung ein ferritisches Gefüge bildende Stahlschmelze, wie z.B. ein ferritischer Edelstahl mit hohem Chromgehalt, zu einem gegossenen Band vergossen wird, bei dem das gegosseneBand erforderlichenfalls inline warmgewalzt wird, bei dem das warmgewalzte Band aufgehaspelt wird und bei dem aus dem warmgewalzten Band in ein oder mehreren Schritten das Kaltband kaltgewalzt wird. Mit einem solchen Verfahren lassen sich Kaltbänder, bei denen die Gefahr der Bildung von Orangenhaut oder Zugrilligkeit bei einer Kaltumformung minimiert ist, dadurch herstellen, dass das gegossene Band zwischen dem Gießen und dem Haspeln ausgehend von einer nicht tiefer als 1180 °C liegenden Starttemperatur mit einer mindestens 1500C/ s betragenden Abkühlrate auf eine höchstens 1000 °C betragende Zwischentemperatur abgekühlt und anschließend für mindestens 10 s bei einer 900 - 1000 °C betragenden Haltetemperatur gehalten wird.
