Abstract
The present invention relates to a mobile phone charger. The mobile phone charger of the present invention includes a TA body (20), which has a plug to be connected to a power supply, a charging connector (40) to be connected to a mobile phone, and a cable (30), which connects the TA body to the charging connector. A charging indicator lamp (60) is installed in the charging connector to indicate the charged state. A specific lighting pattern (50), made of semi-transparent material, is formed above the embedded charging indicator lamp. The specific pattern comprises a letter, a logo or a CI. In the present invention, because the charged state is indicated through the specific pattern, a user can easily observe the charged state. Furthermore, because the charged state is shown through a trademark of a product or a CI of a company, it can be repeatedly exposed to the user, thus increasing an advertising effect.

MOBILE PHONE BATTERY WHICH INDICATES THE CHARGING STATE ACCORDING TO THE REDIATION STATUS OF THE BATTERY
[Technical Field]
The present invention relates, in general, to mobile phone chargers and, more particularly, to a mobile phone charger, which lets a user know the charged state of the battery of a mobile phone through the lighting of a specific pattern provided in a plug body.
Generally, mobile phones receive power from batteries. After the mobile phones have been used for a predetermined time period, the batteries are exhausted. In this case, the batteries must be charged. For this, the batteries of the mobile phones are mounted to charging supports and are charged.

Such a mobile phone charger, in which a mobile phone battery is charged using a charging support, has a relatively large volume, thus inconveniencing a user. For example, even when using the mobile phone on a trip, the mobile phone battery must be charged when required. However, because the mobile phone charger having the
charging support has a large volume, it is inconvenient for the user to carry the support on a trip.
In an effort to overcome the above-mentioned problem, portable chargers, which are easy to carry even on trips, have been proposed. Such a portable charger includes a TA body, which has a plug to be connected to a power supply, a cable, which is coupled to the TA body, and a charging connector, which is provided on an end of the cable and is inserted into a receptacle of a mobile phone. Furthermore, a charging indicator lamp, which indicates the charged state of a mobile phone battery, is provided in the TA body or in the charging connector according to the kind of mobile .
[Disclosure] [Technical Problem]
However, in the case of the mobile phone charger having the charging indicator lamp provided in the TA body, the charging indicator lamp is disposed adjacent to a plug socket when the TA body is inserted into the plug socket. Therefore, there is a problem in that it is difficult for the user to observe the charged state. In other words, because the charging indicator lamp is disposed in an area that is difficult to view, the user cannot easily observe the charged state of the mobile phone. Therefore, the mobile phone battery may not be completely charged if the
charging process is interrupted before charging is completed. On the other hand, even if charging has been completed, the user may leave the mobile phone battery in the charging state for a long time, thus reducing the lifetime thereof.
Meanwhile, in the case that the charging indicator lamp is provided in the charging connector, the user can easily observe the charged state, but the charging indicator lamp only serves to indicate the charged state.
[Technical Solution]
Accordingly, the present invention has been made keeping in mind the above problems occurring in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a portable mobile phone charger, which makes it possible for a user to easily observe a charging indicator lamp provided in the portable mobile phone charger and provides another function for the charging indicator lamp, unlike that of the conventional art having only the function of indicating the charged state.
[Advantageous Effects]
In the mobile phone charger of the present invention, because the charged state is indicated through a specific pattern provided in a charging connector, a user can easily observe the charged state and, as well, because the charged
state is shown through a trademark of a product or a Corporate Identity (CI) of a company, it can be repeatedly exposed to the user, thus increasing an advertising effect.
Although the preferred embodiment implementing the mobile phone charger indicating the charged state according to the present invention has been disclosed for illustrative purposes, the present invention is not limited to the preferred embodiment. Furthermore, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications are possible, without departing from the major points of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims, and these modifications fall within the bounds of the technical sprit of the present invention.

The above object can be accomplished by the present invention. In order to accomplish the above object, the present invention provides a mobile phone charger having a specific lighting pattern indicating the charged state. The mobile phone charger includes a TA body having a plug to be connected to a power supply, a charging connector to be connected to a mobile phone, and a cable connecting the TA body to the charging connector, with a charging indicator lamp provided in a surface of the charging connector to indicate the charged state. Here, the present invention is characterized in that the charging indicator lamp is embedded in the charging connector, and the specific lighting pattern, made of semi-transparent material, is formed above the embedded charging indicator lamp.
In the present invention, the specific pattern may comprise a letter, a logo or a CI. Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings . Reference should now be made to the drawings, in which the same reference numerals are used throughout the different drawings to designate the same or similar components.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a mobile phone charger, according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view showing critical parts of the charger of FIG. 1. As shown in the drawings, the mobile phone charger of the present invention, which is designated by reference numeral 10, includes a TA body 20, a cable 30, a charging connector 40 and a specific pattern 50.
The TA body 20 is a rectifying device, which is widely used in homes and converts alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC) . A plug 21 is provided on the front part of the TA body 20, so that, when the plug 21 is inserted into a plug socket for supplying power, alternating current is applied to the TA body 20 through the plug 21. The alternating current applied to the TA body 20 is converted into direct current before being transmitted through the cable 30.
The charging connector 40 is coupled to an end of the cable 30. The charging connector 40 has a structure such that it can be connected to a receptacle provided on a lower end of a mobile phone.
The specific pattern 50, which is made of semi- transparent material, is formed in the charging connector 40. The specific pattern 50 may be a trademark of a product or a firm name, logo or CI of a company. A charging indicator lamp 60 for indicating the charged state is
provided under the specific pattern 50 (see, FIG. 2) .
The charging indicator lamp 60 detects variation charging voltages and operates a light emitting diode. The color of the light emitting diode is controlled depending on whether voltage is in a range from 3.6V to 4.95Va. That is, when voltage is in a range from 3.6V to 4.95V, blue light is emitted, and, when voltage is over than 4.96V, the light emitting diode emits green light. Therefore, a user can recognize the charged state by observing the color of the light.
The light emitting diode is one kind of diode that emits light when electricity is applied and has been widely used as a light source in the optical communication field. Typically, the light emitting diode is made of gallium, arsenic or phosphorus. Furthermore, the light emitting diode has advantages of an appropriate price, high reliability, easy modulation and stable operation.
The specific pattern 50, which is disposed above the charging indicator lamp 60, transmits light emitted from the charging indicator lamp 60. When power is interrupted so that the charging indicator lamp 60 is in an OFF state, the specific pattern 50 is shown in a semi-transparent color, that is, in gray. When the charging indicator lamp 60 is in an ON state when the battery of the mobile phone is being charged, it emits blue light. The blue light is emitted outside through the semi-transparent specific
pattern 500. When the charging is completed, green light is emitted through the specific pattern 500.

A mobile phone charger having a specific lighting pattern indicating the charged state, the mobile phone charger comprising: a TA body having a plug to be connected to a power supply; a charging connector to be connected to a mobile phone; and a cable connecting the TA body to the charging connector, with a charging indicator lamp provided in a surface of the charging connector to indicate the charged state, wherein the charging indicator lamp is embedded in the charging connector, and the specific lighting pattern, made of semi-transparent material, is formed above the embedded charging indicator lamp.

The mobile phone charger having the specific lighting pattern indicating the charged state according to claim 1, wherein the specific pattern comprises a letter.
