La diode électroluminescente présente une durée de vie naturelle d’environ 50 000 heures en utilisation normale. Les autres types de source lumineuse ne peuvent pas offrir de telles caractéristiques. Cette lampe d’éclairage s’avère particulièrement adaptée aux zones montagneuses et de pâturage où une énergie non polluante et solaire est utilisée.
