Abstract
A system (10) for providing an immersive effect for a portable electronic device (20). A processor (21, 31) interfaces with a portable electronic device (20) and one or more presentation devices (40) in the vicinity of the portable electronic device (20). The processor (21, 31) receives data that provides a determination of an orientation of the portable electronic device (20). The processor (21, 31) also receives data that relates to the local output of the portable electronic device (20). The processor (21, 31) controls the output of one or more presentation devices (40) in the vicinity of the portable electronic device (20) based on the orientation and output of the portable electronic device (20) to provide an immersive experience for the user (60) of the portable electronic device (20).
