Description
HerpesbehandlungseinrichtungHerpes treatment facility
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Handgerät zur Behandlung von Herpes .The invention relates to a hand-held device for the treatment of herpes.
It occurs mostly as locally grouped standing blisters especially on the face (herpes facialis), on the cheeks (herpes buccalis), the Na ¬ se (herpes nasalis) and on the genitalia (genital herpes) on. The initial infection usually occurs in early childhood and without being recognized, but leads to the formation of V antibodies and often to masking of the virus and dislocation in body tissues, which leads to the virus carriers in weak states of the immune system to relapse.
Die Behandlungsdauer beträgt im allgemeinen 5 Tage .For relieving the treatment of pain and itching in recurrent herpes labialis today cold sore creams z. B. with the active substance aciclovir - known under the registered trademark Zovirax® of the Glaxo Smith Group of Companies - used. These creams should be used at the first sign of a herpes disease (burning, itching, tightness and redness), as it inhibits the growth of certain viruses (antiviral, virus DNA polymerase inhibitor). The treatment duration is generally 5 days.
A disadvantage of such creams is that sometimes side effects and intolerances occur and, as is often the case, the desired effects fail completely or partially.
The object of the invention is thus to make a treatment of herpes without chemical agents. From the prior art (EP 1231875 Bl) is a stings ther ¬ mix treating insect bites and the means of using ¬ heat input to the puncture site acts known.
, aufrechterhalten werden kann .A device used in this case comprises a heating element, which is designed as an electric heating plate, which is fed by a voltage source, wherein the heating plate in egg ¬ ner heating phase to a maximum temperature from the Be ¬ range of 50 to 65 ° C, preferably 55 to 60 0 C, is heated and the maximum temperature in a heating phase for ei ¬ nen period of 2 to 12 sec. , preferably 3 to 6 sec. , can be maintained.
A temperature sensor and a control device are connected to the heating element, wherein the electrical signal generated by the temperature sensor is supplied to the control device, so that the heating device controls the heating of the heating plate to the maximum temperature and the duration of maintaining the maximum temperature.
The introduction of the amount of heat in the puncture is independent of the ambient temperature and the surface temperature of the skin, since the heating phase begins when the maximum temperature is reached and the temperature of the hot plate is maintained throughout the duration of the heating phase by the temperature control. In this way, an exact entry of the amount of heat required for neutralizing the thermolabile poisons in a temperature range is possible in which damage to the skin by this heat input are not to be feared.
Dabei erfolgt der Wärmeeintrag un¬ mittelbar auf die Bläschen sowie die angrenzenden Bereiche der Haut oder noch besser im Vorabstadium auf die durch Brennen, Jucken, Spannungsgefühl oder Rötung auffällig wer¬ denden Hautbereiche .Investigations have now shown that such a heat input, which can neutralize thermolabile poisons, can also be used successfully for the treatment of herpes, especially of cold sores caused by herpes simplex virus. Here, the heat takes place un ¬ indirectly on the bubbles and the adjacent areas of the skin, or better still in a preliminary stage to the conspicuous by burning, itching, tenderness or redness ¬ Denden skin areas.
, vorzugsweise 10 bis 15 Sek . im Bereich der genannten Temperaturen .The greatest successes have been achieved with temperatures above 45 0 C, preferably 49 to 53 0 C with a heat transfer area of 40 mm 2 , preferably by 20 mm 2 and a treatment time of 3 to 20 sec. , preferably 10 to 15 sec. in the range of the mentioned temperatures.
Die Einrichtung ist nunmehr für weitere Behandlungen bereit .The device described in EP 1 231 875 B1, the use of which is hereby partially referred to, consists, according to FIG. Is made 1 mm from a heating element as an electrical ¬ specific heating plate 2 in the form of a circular disc with a diameter of about. 5 The heating element 1 is fed by a voltage source 3. Connected to the heating element 1 is a temperature sensor 4. The electrical signal generated by the temperature sensor 4 is supplied to a control device 5, with which the temperature. and the duration of maintaining the maximum temperature of the heating plate 2 is controlled. By pressing a button β , the heating phase of the heating plate 2 is started by means of the control device in the heating element 1. As soon as the electrical signal emitted by the sensor has reached the predetermined maximum temperature at the heating plate 2, the heating phase begins. For this purpose, the timing is triggered in the control device 5, which includes a time and temperature control. During the specified duration of the heating phase, which corresponds to the treatment duration, the temperature control ensures the conservation of the maximum temperature and prevents the same ¬ time they are exceeded. After the end of the heating phase, the heating process is terminated and the temperature of the heating plate 2 adapts to the ambient temperature. The heating plate 2 is heated in this device in the heating phase to a maximum temperature from a range of 50 to 65 0 C, preferably ¬ 55 to 60 0 C, with a tolerance of ± 3 0 C is maintained. In the heating phase following the heating phase, which corresponds to the treatment duration, the maximum temperature for a period of 2 to 12 sec. , preferably 3 to 6 sec. maintained. The duration of the heating phase is inversely proportional to the height of the ma imum ¬ temperature. At the end of the heating phase, the heating process is stopped and the cooling phase begins. The end of the heating phase and thus the treatment can be indicated by a signal. The device is now ready for further treatments.
An adaptation of this device to the above times and temperature ranges for the treatment of herpes control technology is easy to implement, so that the expert requires no further explanation.
In order to better meet the specific conditions, especially when applied to herpes, embodiments provide to make the heating plate 2 of an antiallergic material or to coat with such a material.
Vorzugsweise werden dabei Glas- oder Keramik oder Beschich- tungen daraus genutzt .Preferably, glass or ceramic or coatings thereof are used.
Also with the special design of the surface form of the heating plate specific applications can be met the. The surface can be three-dimensional z. B. be formed in the shape of a hemisphere or a truncated cone or composed of several identical or different structural elements such as pyramids or cones or blunt or hemispheres or hemispherical bodies.
Fig . 2 zeigt in einer konkreten Ausbildung das Gerät mit einem Gehäuse7.Fig. 2 shows in a specific embodiment the device with a housing 7.
Of course, it is also possible to reduce such a device to the size of a normal lipstick. This increases acceptance and is less conspicuous in use. Such an embodiment is set forth in the claims 8 and 9 in more detail. The heat delivery surface can therefore also be designed analogously to the lipstick tip (a cylinder which is obliquely cut on one side or on both sides).
