Abstract

A composition for forming a laser-markable coating, comprising: (a) a first component of a color-forming agent, wherein upon exposure to a laser the first component is capable of reacting with a second component of the color-forming agent to generate a color; and (b) a binder comprising a substituted or unsubstituted polyurethane compound.
