Abstract

The invention relates to a center bearing (1) for two segments (2, 3) of a divided seat back (4) in a vehicle, which may be independently folded and on each of which a bearing (4, 6) is mounted. A one-piece pin (5) is placed inside said bearings, this pin additionally being connected to the vehicle. The pin is rotationally mounted at least on one bearing (4, 6) and/or a bearing (4, 6) is rotationally mounted on one of the segments (2, 3), and a bearing (4) and/or the pin (5) are/is designed so that the pin (5) and/or the bearing (3) deform(s) in the event of an accident.
