Abstract

The method of easy removal of canvas in awnings enables us to have without tools, or ladder, or the assistance of specialists in awnings, the surface of an awning on our hands whenever we want in order to clean or repair it. The upper stable tube (2) is connected with connectors (4) with the upper part of the canvas and the upper part of the canvas has a stabilizer in order that the canvas goes when raised, horizontal and without curves to the upper stable tube. The lower movable tube (3) is connected with the articulated arms (1) with a suitable way of union, so that they separate easily.

Description

EASY REMOVAL OF CANVAS IN AWNINGS
Almost all awnings have their canvas attached permanently onto the upper stable tube (2), which rotates in two directions and raises or lowers the awning. Also, the articulated arms (1) of the awnings are connected by means of screws and nuts permanently with the lower movable tube (3). After some years of usage an awning accumulates dust, soot and chemical substances by the atmospheric pollution upon its external side and consequently a mixture of various substances is formed upon it, which is very difficult to clean.
Up to now the cleaning of awnings is done by specialists who construct or repair awnings. They take of the awning completely. They unscrew the screws and nuts under the balconies or on the walls, take the canvas away for its cleaning or reparation and then return and replace it. This procedure is costly.
Up to now the manufacturers of awnings didn't take into consideration the urgent necessity of the proprietors of awnings to have the possibility to clean or repair their awnings costless and whenever they want and consequently almost all awnings are dirty.
An advantage with this method is that the proprietors of awnings can have easily and without tools the canvas of their awning removed on their hands whenever they want to clean or repair it. Another advantage with this method is that when an awning remains damaged for long time, the wind in combination with the corrosive effect of the incorporated dirt destroys it and must be replaced by a new one. With this method we have the possibility to repair the owning immediately after the problem emerges and consequently the lifetime of the awnings increases. Many people don't install awnings on their places because they know that they will be dirty on their external side in a few months. Consequently with this method the sales of awnings will be increased.
With this method we don't need more material of canvas.
An important advantage with this method is that even elderly people can take off and put on the canvas of their awning because ladder is not needed. Many people can't stand height and it is difficult to work on a ladder at balconies of high buildings.
The most important advantage with this method is that we will save the life of many people which are killed on our planet, because they fall from their balconies when they try to clean or repair their awnings. Dizziness or unstable ladders which are made cheaply in the global market are the reason for many people to die. Also, we have to take into consideration the number of seriously injured people. Thousands are paralyzed every year.
It is not exaggeration that the international World Health Center will force many governments to have on their legislature a law that prohibits in the near future the construction of awnings without this method. The cost of pensions and therapy from these thousands people from the above mentioned accidents is too high. This method offers without damaging anyone, only profit.
That will happen because of the legislature in many countries. Globally the main endeavor from all wealth centers is to prevent accidents and there are a great many laws which enforce industries and organizations to take the needed precautions so that we avoid accidents. Consequently, this method, will be forced by law to be followed every where around the world. For example, that happened with the quality of glass on solar selectors. The method of easy removal of canvas in awnings refers to the following procedure.
When the awning is lowered, the lower movable tube (3) is around 50cm away from the end of the balcony.
The upper stable tube (2) is connected with the upper part of the canvas in two or more places with connectors (4) made of fishing-line or flexible metal or strap or some other flexible material.
Every connector (4) is attached on the upper part of the canvas with a suitable way of union in order to separate them easily.
We unroll the upper stable tube (2). When we reach the connectors (4) with our hands, we disconnect them and the canvas is free.
The upper part of canvas, if it is flexible, has a stiff stabilizer (5) made of a metallic cord or plate or of some other hard material. The stabilizer (5) is either inside a hollow groove on the upper part of the canvas or sewn or welded or with some other way attached to the upper part of the canvas. The stabilizer (5) has the function to keep the canvas horizontal and without curves when it is raised to the upper stable tube (2).
We take away the stabilizer (5) and the canvas of the awning is free to wash or repair.
We replace the canvas of the awning following the reversal movements.
Figure 1 shows in number 1 the articulated arms, in number 2 the upper stable tube and in number 3 the lower movable tube.
Figure 2 shows in number 4 one connector and in number 5 the stabilizer.
The method of easy removal of canvas in awnings refers to the following procedure
When an awning is lowered the lower movable tube (3) is usually 50cm away from the end of the balcony. Therefore we reach it easily with our hands.
First we lower the awning.
The upper stable tube (2) is connected with the upper part of the canvas in two or more places with connectors (4) made of fishing-line or flexible metal or strap or some other flexible material. Every connector (4) is attached on the upper part of the canvas with a suitable way of union in order to separate them easily.
The length of the connector (4) may vary depending on how high is the upper stable tube
(2).
We unroll the upper stable tube (2). When we reach the connectors (4) with our hands, we disconnect them and the canvas of the awning is free.
The upper part of the canvas, if it is flexible, have a stiff stabilizer (5) made of a metallic cord or plate or some other hard material. The stabilizer (5) is either inside a hollow groove in the upper part of the canvas or sewn or welded or with some other way attached to the upper part of the canvas. The stabilizer (5) has the function to keep the canvas horizontal and without curves when it is raised to the upper stable tube (2).
Instead of the stabilizer (5) it is also possible to have on die upper stable tube (2) direction devices, in order to have the canvas horizontal and without curves when it is raised to the upper stable tube (2).
We take away the stabilizer (5) and the canvas of the awning is free to wash or repair. We replace the canvas of the awning following the reversal movements.
This procedure lasts a few minutes, is simple, effective and we don't need tools, or ladder, or specialists in awnings.
This method can be applied in all kinds of awnings and all kinds of material placed on the surface of the awnings. Usually with this method people lower their awnings a rainy day in spring and autumn and nature wash the canvas. It is not necessary to take off the canvas.
