Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Ultraschall-Strömungssensor, insbesondere zum Messen des Volumen- oder Massestroms eines Fluids (1), mit zwei in Strömungsrichtung (2) versetzt angeordneten Ultraschallwandlern (A,B), die jeweils ein Ultraschallsignal (An,Bn) an den anderen Ultraschallwandler (B,A) aussenden, wobei aus den Laufzeiten (t12,t21) der Ultraschallsignale (An,Bn) eine Messgröße (S) ermittelt wird. Die Messgenauigkeit des Strömungssensors kann wesentlich verbessert werden, indem eine Steuer- und Auswerteeinheit (4) vorgesehen ist, die bei Empfang eines Ultraschallsignals (A1,B1) an einem der Ultraschallsignals (A,B) jeweils mehrere Empfangszeitpunkte (ti′, ti″) pro Signal (A1,B1) detektiert, aus denen die Messgröße (S) gebildet wird.
