Abstract

Contrast-enhanced MR using a Gadofluorine contrast agent enables plaque in blood vessels to be imaged. An inversion recovery T1-weighted pulse sequence includes a diffusion flow nulling sequence that enables image acquisition within one hour of contrast injection by suppressing intravascular blood signals so that plaque can be detected.
