Description

Elevator with vertical displacement The present invention relates to an arrangement for a parking garage which exhibits an elevator for the purpose of enabling a plurality of vehicles to be accommodated at the same time on at least two levels in the elevator, and which is capable of displacement in a vertical direction in order to permit vehicles to be transferred between the elevator and intended loading levels and parking levels. A problem is associated with previously disclosed multistorey car parks, which have an elevator to enable the movement of vehicles that it is wished to park and that are left at a loading level to the right parking place on the right designated parking level, for example in the case of a multi-storey car park of the kind previously disclosed through WO 2004/001161A1. The situation would be very considerably facilitated if the opportunity were available to move the vehicles in the elevator laterally to the right intended parking places without being obliged to operate the elevator half-full and repeatedly up and down as a result, which is unnecessarily time consuming. The principal object of the present invention is thus, in the first instance, to solve the aforementioned problem reliably and effectively. The aforementioned object is achieved by means of an arrangement in accordance with the present invention, which is essentially characterized in that the elevator exhibits means which make it possible to move a vehicle across its parking direction along associated parking levels in the elevator, in that the aforementioned means comprise a conveyor, in that a lifting device is so arranged as to make it possible to lift a vehicle and to transport the vehicle in the direction of parking of the vehicle between the elevator and the loading level and the parking level in question, and in that the lifting device is so arranged as to be capable of moving with associated carrying devices in a vertical direction past a permanent parking area on the parking level in question. The invention is described below with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of an elevator in accordance with the invention; Fig. 2 shows a perspective view of a multi-storey car park in accordance with the invention, but with the elevator omitted; Fig. 3 - Fig. 8 show different loading phases in an illustrated part of the garage and the elevator; Fig. 9 - Fig. 16 show in perspective parts of the parking place for the vehicles and the associated pattern of movement; and Fig. 17 - Fig. 18C show side views of the arrangement with the effect of movement on a vehicle and the associated conveyors . An arrangement 1 for a parking garage 2, which exhibits an elevator 3 for the purpose of enabling a plurality of vehicles 4, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46 ... 4n to be accommodated at the same time on at least two levels 5, 51 in the elevator, and which is capable of displacement in a vertical direction 6, 7 in order to permit vehicles to be transferred between the elevator 3 and intended loading levels 8 and parking levels 9-11, is arranged precisely in the elevator 3. More specifically, the elevator 3 exhibits means 12 which permit vehicles to be moved across 13, 14 their parking direction 15, 16 along associated parking levels 5, 51 in the elevator 3. The aforementioned means comprise a conveyor. A lifting device 17 is also so arranged as to be capable of lifting a vehicle and transporting the vehicle in the intended parking direction 15, 16 of the vehicle between the loading and parking levels 8; 9-11 in question of the elevator 3. The aforementioned lifting device 17 is also so arranged as to be capable of passing with associated supporting devices 18 in a vertical direction 6, 7 past a permanent parking area 19 on the parking level 9-11 in question. A plurality of trolleys 20, 21, 22 displaced laterally
13, 14 in relation to one another, which exhibit conveyors 12 that are capable of being driven in a lateral direction 13, 14, are so arranged as to be driven in the intended parking direction 15, 16 of the vehicle on the associated level 5, 51 in the elevator 3. The aforementioned trolleys 20-22 comprise the aforementioned lifting devices 17, at least one for each trolley, and the conveyors 12 are formed by a plurality of interacting and transverse conveyor belts 12A, 12b... 12n, cables or chains situated alongside one another and on a common level, which are capable of being driven in common in order to move in a desired direction 13, 14 across the direction of parking 15, 16 of the vehicles. The conveyor belts 12A... are deflected around wheels 23, 24 situated at a distance from one another and are driven by driving wheels 25, which can be connected to a common drive shaft 26, which is in turn driven by a drive motor 27. The conveyor belts 12A... are preferably supported from below by support wheels 28 at intended support points. The conveyor belts 12A... are supported as a common unit by a sled 30 exhibiting rolling devices 29, which is so arranged as to be capable of being displaced along a track 32 extending on a base 31 in the intended direction of movement 15, 16 of the vehicle in the elevator 3 and respectively on the parking levels 9-11 and on the loading level 8. The aforementioned sled 30 is formed by a body which comprises rolling guide wheels 29, which run on and are supported and guided by the pairs of tracks 32. The body 30 has pairs of strip-shaped profiles 33, which support the wheels 29 on its under side and with a gear rack 34 supported by it, and which is capable of actuation by a gear drive 36 rotatably driven by a drive motor 35, which gear drive acts against the gear rack 34 situated underneath the profile 33. The conveyor belts 12A-12" also exhibit a width B such that they are able to pass in their entirety in a vertical direction 6, 7 through corresponding slot-shaped recesses 37 in an aforementioned fixed and preferably grille-like supporting part 19 on the respective loading and parking levels 8-11. The aforementioned recesses 37 thus also exhibit a width b which exceeds the width B of the belts. Supported in the elevator, each on its own side A and C of the deflector wheels 23, 24 of the conveyor belts, is a feely rotatable roller 38 on a support 39, and which is so arranged as to bridge the distance D between conveyors 12 as they meet one another on laterally situated trolleys 20-22. The elevator 3 is executed with at least two elevator levels 5, 51 and is arranged in such a way that pairs of vehicle parking places 41, 41A; 42, 42A; 43, 43A; 44, 44A; 45, 45A; 46, 46A... situated in line with one another, each on its own side of an elevator shaft 40, are arranged crossing one another, i.e. they are arranged at an angle to one another in pairs. Illustrated in the example are three trolleys 20, 21, 22, although a different number is naturally also applicable, for example two, four, etc. The function of the invention should have been appreciated from the above description and the proposed embodiment illustrated in the drawings, where there are twelve parking places on each level of the building with an elevator shaft arranged centrally in the middle between them, and with three parking places arranged diametrically opposite three further parking places, in conjunction with which six parking places are arranged intersecting the other six, essentially at right-angles and with an identical function. Illustrated in the drawings in Figs. 3-8 are the possible movements of the vehicles 4-46 in order to achieve efficient handling of the vehicles, where Fig. 3 shows that a vehicle 41 is parked in the multi-storey car park 2 directly on the upper level 11 of the elevator 3, and that three trolleys 20, 21, 22 are present, where one of the vehicles 4 is parked on a trolley 20, and where the vehicles 45, 46 are standing in the multi- storey car park 2 to one side A of the elevator 3, and the vehicle 4 is parked to the other side C of the elevator. Simple and effective rearrangement of the vehicles then commences, as can be appreciated from the drawings. The lifting device 17 can be of any preferred kind, for example a jack of mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic construction, a scissor lift, a screw construction, etc. The conveyor can be of any preferred kind, for example belts, cables, chains, etc., and these are appropriately divided in two so that the front part and the rear part of the vehicles is supported respectively by its own part 121, 1211 of the conveyor . The invention is naturally not restricted to the embodiments described above and illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Modifications are possible, in particular with regard to the nature of the various parts, or by the use of equivalent technology, but without departing from the area of protection afforded to the invention, as defined in the Patent Claims.
