Abstract

L'invention porte sur un procédé et sur un appareil d'empaquetage de produits horticoles, spécialement de fleurs coupées, en vue de leur transport consistant à insérer une ou plusieurs des tiges dans un bloc souple de mousse de faible rapport compression/déflexion et faible densité, placé dans l'ouverture d'un récipient de manière à comprimer la mousse. La compression de la mousse forme un joint étanche autour de chaque tige empêchant l'eau ou d'autres liquides présents dans le récipient de fuir pendant le transport des produits horticoles, tout en isolant les tiges entre elles. On peut par ailleurs placer un tube dans le bloc de mousse de manière à former une communication entre l'intérieur et l'extérieur du récipient.
