Description

TITRE : semelle pour chaussures et analoguesTITLE: sole for shoes and the like
The present invention relates to improvements to orthopedic soles for shoes and the like.
The upper face of a sole is inclined slightly forward so that the user's heel is raised relative to the end of the foot.
Recently, a sole has appeared, the inclination of which is reversed, the user's heel being situated at a level lower than the end of the foot, experience having shown that this arrangement has advantages for the user.
However, experience has also shown that some users find it difficult to adapt from a normal sole to a so-called inverted sole, feeling of cramps for example.
The sole of the invention, which overcomes these drawbacks, is remarkable in that the inclination of the upper part of the sole is variable relative to the lower part which rests on the ground.
La présente invention sera mieux comprise par la description qui va suivre faite en se référant au dessin annexé à titre d'exemple indicatif, seulement, sur lequel :The upper part is articulated on the lower part towards the front end of the sole, means being provided for varying the inclination, either continuously or discontinuously, from a so-called high position corresponding to the position d 'an ordinary sole in a so-called low position corresponding to an inverted sole. The present invention will be better understood from the description which follows, given with reference to the attached drawing by way of indicative example only, in which:
-la figure 1 est une vue en élévation d'une semelle ordinaire ; -la figure 2 est une vue en élévation d'une semelle inversée d'un type connu ;FIG 1 is an elevational view of an ordinary sole; FIG. 2 is an elevation view of an inverted sole of a known type;
-les figures 3 et 4 sont des vues en élévation d'une semelle conforme à l'invention ;FIGS. 3 and 4 are elevation views of a sole according to the invention;
Referring to FIG. 1, it can be seen that 1 is an ordinary sole, the upper face 2 of which is inclined towards the front so that the rear end 3, corresponding to the location of the user's heel, is located at a higher level with respect to the anterior end 4, the levels being identified with respect to the lower face 5 of the sole which rests on the ground.
La figure 2 montre une semelle inversée d'un type connu, c'est-à-dire une semelle dont l'emplacement du talon 3 est situé à un niveau inférieur par rapport à l'extrémité antérieure 4.FIG. 2 shows an inverted sole of a known type, that is to say a sole, the location of the heel 3 of which is situated at a lower level relative to the anterior end 4.
Un problème se pose à l'usager qui passe, brusquement, de chaussures traditionnelles, comportant des semelles conformes à celle de la figure 1 , à des chaussures comportant des semelles inversées conformes à celle de la figure 2.A problem arises for the user who suddenly changes from traditional shoes, comprising soles conforming to that of FIG. 1, to shoes comprising inverted soles conforming to that of FIG. 2.
The sole of the invention is remarkable in that the upper face 2 and the lower one 5 belong to two parts 6 and 7 physically distinct so that the inclination of the upper face relative to the lower one is variable.
In this way and as shown in Figures 3 and 4, it is possible to switch from the use of a traditional sole (fig.3) to the use of an inverted sole (fig.4).
The two parts 6 and 7 are hinged together along an axis located towards the anterior end of the sole.
Means, interposed between the two parts, are provided to maintain the upper part 6, according to the required inclination relative to that 7. According to one embodiment, such means can be constituted by a wedge 8, interposed between the two parts and held by notches formed on the opposite faces of parts 6 and 7, means being provided to generate a force which tends to press part 6 against that 7. The wedge 8, of cylindrical shape, cooperates with notches 9a, 9b, 9c etc whose depths vary, decreasing from the posterior to the anterior end.
Différents moyens peuvent être utilisés pour réaliser l'articulation de la partie 6 sur celle 7.In this way, by moving the wedge 8 from the notches 9c to those 9b, the location 3 of the heel is slightly lowered and this adjustment is maintained for the time necessary to allow the user to get used to it. A similar result could be obtained using a screw and nut system, the screw being immobilized axially and the nut being mobile and forming a wedge. Different means can be used to achieve the articulation of part 6 on that 7.
An exemplary embodiment is illustrated in the drawings. Thus, for example, the part 6 has two lateral flanges 10 forming the bearings of the axis 1 1 of articulation. Part 7 has an extension 7a, serving as a support for springs 1 which tend to press part 6 against that 7.
