Abstract

The invention relates to an emergency exit indicating system provided with a variable indicating device (1) switchable between an emergency exit indication and any other information. Each indicating device (1) is connected to a central control unit or a central fire alarm system and can be used as a door plate or advertising space. For this purpose, each indicating device (1) is provided with an image memory unit for at least one emergency exit indication (4) and one image memory unit for any other information, a control unit (3) for switching between indicated information, and a display unit (2). Said control unit (3) is connected to a voltage monitoring unit (8) for an external power supply and to a computer network. The indicating device (1) comprises an individual battery unit provided with charging equipment and a total discharge protection unit.
