Definitions

  • the invention pertains to a compact case with a handle, intended for the safe - handy transportation, attractive packaging and storage of various products.
  • the safe transportation case with retractable handle is appropriate to be made entirely of processed natural wood in the form of plywood. It consists of a compact case with a -generally- rectangular parallelepiped shape, whose upper side (top) is open where a handle is mounted. When the case is carried individually suspended from the handle, then the handle protrudes from the middle of the top of the case across it and when the case is placed in an upright or horizontal position, then the handle shifts to such a position as not to protrude from the top of the case and not to obstruct its filling or emptying with the product.
  • the base of the case has, perimetrically or in between as well, identical to one another cut-outs which correspond to the also identical to one another tabs which the sides and any vertical dividers have at their tops, in order that the tabs of the top of an upright case fit into a number of cut-outs of the base of another identical and also upright case.
  • This fit is achieved with the front side of the upper case being flush with the front side, or the rear side, or any side, or any vertical or parallel divider of the lower identical case.
  • the retractable handle and the connection possibilities between the tops and bases of the cases allow the interlocking of a number of cases together which are thus safeguarded from an individual or collective shift or even fall when these are displayed or carried on a pallet.
  • An advantage of the safe transportation case with retractable handle according to the present invention is that it meets all the aforesaid packaging specifications for many products, such as those for fragile goods, because the connections and fittings of the case in combination with the qualities, the strength and the smooth surface of wood, make the case: (a) Functional, as its surfaces can have openings for aesthetic or for functional purposes, such as direct visual contact with the colour or label of the product it contains, (b) Ideal to render a complete aesthetic result, as it can be coloured or have deco- rative elements or advertising messages printed on all parts of its surface and with the use of all known methods such as silk-screen printing, pyrography, thermo- print, etc.
