Abstract

Method for estimating pixel depth of a sequence of two-dimensional video frames (2), where frame pairs chosen to form the basis of the correspondence estimation generally have substantively smaller frame separation than frames pairs chosen to form the basis of the camera calibration and depth estimation, and where the correspondence information is accumulated in order to make the connection between the two domains. The instability over time of the pixel depth estimation, resulting from the contradiction of requirements when depth estimation is performed on the basis of motion estimation, is reduced.
