Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de dépôt électrolytique de magnésium sur un substrat de tôle (1) comprenant un revêtement de zinc ou d'alliage de zinc, notamment une tôle d'acier. Selon l'invention, le dépôt électrolytique s'effectue dans un solvant (3a) ayant une acidité inférieure à celle de l'eau, notamment dans un solvant sensiblement aprotique, et le substrat revêtu (1) est ensuite soumis à un traitement thermique pour former une phase d'alliage Mg-Zn dans la couche de zinc. Les tôles (1) obtenues grâce à l'invention se caractérisent par une résistance à la corrosion améliorée pour une qualité de surface et une usinabilité qui restent aussi élevées que celles de tôles galvanisées.
