Abstract

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de détecter et de suivre des êtres humains, tels que des piétons, dans des conditions de faible visibilité ou analogue. Une caméra de vision nocturne capture de manière périodique une image infrarouge d'une route à partir d'une perspective unique. Un module de détection de piétons détermine une position d'un piéton dans la trame par traitement de l'image capturée et comprend une machine vectorielle de support permettant de comparer des informations dérivées de la caméra de vision nocturne par rapport à une base de données d'entraînement. Un module de suivi de piétons estime un mouvement du piéton détecté à partir de trames subséquentes par application de filtres. Le module de suivi utilise un filtre de Kalman pour estimer un mouvement du piéton à des moments périodiques et une modification des moyennes aux fins d'adaptation de l'estimation. Un module d'affichage de sortie entrelace des trames de détection et des trames de suivi dans la production d'une vidéo de sortie destinées à l'affichage.
