Abstract

A cigarette packet comprising a packet body which is made out of a flat material, e.g. cardboard, and provided with a lid which can pivot by means of a material section which acts as a joint on a rear side of said packet in order to open and close an opening of said packet, in addition to an insert which defines the edge of the packet opening and which is also made of cardboard and which is received in a region which protrudes from the closed cover, and means for positively interlocking the lid and the packet when the lid is closed.
