Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un dispositif de mesure du diamètre interne d'une lumière corporelle, telle qu'une voie aérienne. Ce dispositif comprend un cathéter souple (110, 310) possédant une lumière de gonflage (112, 312), un distributeur de fluide (102, 200) en communication fluidique avec la lumière de gonflage et susceptible de communiquer un changement de volume de fluide mesurable à la lumière de gonflage (112, 312), et un élément expansible (120) en communication fluidique avec la lumière de gonflage et ayant une relation connue entre le volume et une dimension transversale modifiable, ladite dimension transversale pouvant être modifiée en réponse à des changements de volume de fluide du distributeur de fluide et étant conçue pour être placée en position adjacente à des parties opposées d'une paroi interne de la voie aérienne (80).
