The blinker (1) is provided with a slit which is located along the central axis (a) thereof at the end facing the fish hook (5) and is formed from an elongate strip of sheet metal in such a way that a wide surface is obtained. The ends are configured as two blades (6) which are bent in opposite directions by about a quarter of a revolution relative to the plane of the plate, resulting in the blinker (1) revolving around the central axis thereof as a propeller when being pulled through water.

Description

The invention relates to a fishing lure, in particular a twister for fishing predatory fish such as catfish, pike, pikeperch and the like, consisting of a blinker formed from a flat metal plate, which at one end with an eyelet for attachment to a fishing line and at the other end with a further eyelet for hanging a fishing hook is provided, the metal plate being bent and shaped out of the plane of the plate in such a way that the indicator turns when it is pulled through the water in the direction of pull about its central axis.
Such baits are widely known, but they are perceived as unsatisfactory in practice because they are either too light for the fishing of large predatory fish or turn too slowly, so that these predatory fish are not attracted enough or their greed is not challenged enough. The predatory fish do not consider this bait as an intruder in their territory and therefore do not feel so disturbed that they follow the bait and bite the fish hook.
From DE-GM 70 20 401 a fish bait with a plate-shaped bait sheet is already known, which is shaped on its tail fin-like rear end into rotary blades, which also produce a propeller-like rotary movement. However, the rotating blades are bent by lines converging at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the bait to the lower end of the bait sheet. This bait sheet, which is preferably shaped in the outline of a fish, apparently has the same disadvantage as the other known fish baits, namely that it rotates too slowly due to the shape of the shovel and is therefore not so successfully used for fishing predatory fish.
The object of the invention was to design the blinker of the bait in such a way that the predatory fish are immediately animated to attack when the bait hits the water surface and without hesitation begin the pursuit until they have gripped the supposed enemy with their mouths. To solve this problem, the bait described below was developed, the blinker of which is characterized by the following features: the blinker is formed over a wide area from an elongated sheet metal strip and slit in the central axis at its end facing the fishing hook. These ends are formed into two blades, which are bent in a quarter circle from the plane of the plate in the opposite direction.
The design of the bait according to the invention achieves two things: the relatively large casting weight of the bait, in conjunction with the broad design of its front part, enables it to be cast out widely and claps strongly on the water surface. This causes a great predatory greed for the predatory fish and leads to the fact that these fish are immediately prompted to defend their territory and attack the bait.
If the predator does not notice the bait immediately after it has been smacked onto the surface of the water, it will be tempted to do so when the bait is subsequently retrieved, because the shovel ends of the indicator, which are bent away on both sides, lead to a strong rotation around the longitudinal axis. This creates an intense trail of swirling in the water, which induces the predatory fish to immediately follow the bait and finally to bite.
Es zeigen:In the drawing, several embodiments of the invention are shown, which are explained in more detail below. Show it:

Fig.10 Another embodiment of the fishing lure with off-center suspension of the fishing hook.
The fish bait shown in Figures 1 to 3 consists of a blinker 1 formed from a metal plate, which at one end, shown in the drawing above, with an eyelet 2 for attaching to a fishing line 3 and at the other, shown below in the drawing End is provided with a further eyelet 4 for hanging a fishing hook 5.
The flasher 1 is formed from an elongated sheet metal strip 10 over a wide area and is slit in the central axis “a” at its end facing the fishing hook 5. Two blades 6 are formed from these two ends, each of which is bent approximately in a quarter circle from the plate plane in the opposite direction. This indicator 1 thus behaves like a so-called twister, which rotates around its central axis "a" like a propeller when pulled through the water.
It should be noted here that depending on the direction in which the blades 6 are bent, the direction of rotation of the turn signal can be influenced. For example, in the arrangement of the turn signals shown in FIGS. 1-3, the propeller movement is "counterclockwise" in relation to the direction of pull in the water. This causes the indicator to be driven away from the bank when it is thrown in downstream, that is, when the current comes from the angler's perspective. Depending on the location of the angler, it can also be an advantage if the indicator is "clockwise". This can be achieved in that the blades 6, as shown in FIGS. 7 to 9, are bent in the opposite direction. This causes the turn signal to drift in the opposite direction. This can be an advantage if the angler is standing on a crib or jetty protruding into the river, for example, and cannot see the water the fish are visiting.
Two further blades 8 are preferably formed on the two blades 6 from the side edges 7 pointing away from one another, and these blades are also bent outward in a quarter circle. This increases the rotational movement in the water, which creates a strong trace of swirling in the water and particularly attracts the attention of the predatory fish.
The sheet metal strip is preferably 2 to 2.5 mm thick, about 80 mm long and 20 to 25 mm wide and therefore has a casting weight of at least 50 grams. This relatively large casting weight and the wide-area design of the blinker enable the fishing bait to be thrown out wide and cause a strong splash on the water surface, which gives the predatory fish the impression that a foreign fish has entered their territory. The predatory fish will naturally defend its territory and attack the intruder without hesitation.
This urge to defend is further reinforced when the bait is subsequently retrieved because the blades 6 and 8, which are bent away on both sides, cause a strong propeller movement, which creates a swirling trail in the water, which further enhances the feeling of penetration into one's own territory and the predatory drive of the predatory fish still enlarged.
A preferred embodiment of the turn signal is shown in its individual parts in FIGS. 4 to 6, wherein FIGS. 4 and 5 show a strip half 10 of the turn signal 1 with integrally formed blades 6 and 8 and FIG. 6 shows a metal wire 9. The turn signal 1 consists of two elongated strip halves 10 with Mirror-shaped molded blade ends 6 and 8, which are soldered together at the mutually facing central edges 11 with the metal wire 9 or connected in any other suitable manner. The metal wire 9 is formed at both ends into an eyelet 2 and 4, the eyelet 4 being bent symmetrically to the axis a of the metal wire 9 in the present exemplary embodiment.
FIG. 10 shows a preferred embodiment of the indicator, in which the eyelet 4 - similar to the eyelet 2 in FIG. 1 - is bent out of the axis a of the metal wire 9 to one side. This results in the suspension of the hook 5 on the eyelet 4 at a distance of approximately half the width of the eyelet 4 offset from the axis a of the metal rod 9. This center offset has the effect that the hook 5 is constantly pulled through the water as a result of the propeller movement when the fishing lure 1 is pulled through the water strikes against the inner edges 12 of the blades 6. This leads to knocking noises, through which the fish are additionally excited and attracted.
