Definitions
- the invention relates to a firearm with dynamic breechblock, more particularly, to personal defense weapon, comprising a frame with pistol grip and folding stock, the frame further comprising breechblock chamber with a breechblock, a cover enclosing a barrel, wherein cocking slide lever with cocking slide is mounted, a firing mechanism, magazine catch and magazine well.
- Known firearm assemblies with dynamic breechblock commonly have firing mechanism along with magazine well and a magazine catch united in a frame, wherein breechblock slides in slots or on guide rod, and can be reached only when the rear or top cover of the gun is removed.
- a barrel is also connected to the frame and affixed by a bayonet lock, or by a boss at the chamber end of the barrel.
- Disadvantages of known assemblies reside especially in that they involve large number of parts having the main bodies of complex shape. Disassembling and rearrangement of these firearms involves many steps, which, if not periodically practiced, significantly impede assembling and disassembling of the firearm. Modifying the caliber of a weapon is hindered as well, demanding the number of related parts to be changed, making it impossible to carry out en march without application of purpose- designed tools.
- the above drawbacks are significantly reduced in present firearm with dynamic breechblock, more particularly personal defense weapon, comprising a frame with the pistol grip and folding stock, the frame further comprising a breechblock chamber with a breechblock, a cover enclosing a barrel, wherein a cocking slide lever with a cocking slide is mounted, a firing mechanism, a magazine catch and a magazine well, of the character, the breechblock is slidably mounted on a firing mechanism housing.
- the firing mechanism housing comprises a trigger mechanism, a hammer assembly, an integrated safety/shot selector assembly, a trigger guard and magazine well with magazine catch.
- the breechblock slides on guide rod.
- Rear of the firing mechanism housing is lodged in the frame and its front is pinned to the frame by means of an assembly pin slidably disposed in a hole aligned in the firing mechanism housing and the frame.
- the cover is disposed on the barrel screwed into a fixing collar, and removably fixedly attached to the frame by means of a muzzle nut screwed on the barrel.
- breechblock bears a recess accessible through cartridge ejection port.
- the frame and firing mechanism housing are made of plastics. Assembly of the weapon follows an idea of utmost simplicity, production easiness, user friendliness and highest reliability in every meteorological condition. Further advantages encompass versatility, instant replaceability of main parts, i. e. the barrel, breechblock and firing mechanism housing, resulting in very simple and fast assembly and disassembly of the weapon. Having the breechblock not sliding in slots provided in the frame, it is then possible to pull out the breechblock downward after firing mechanism housing is released from its lodge.
- Fig. 1 is overall view of internal arrangement of the firearm
- Fig. 2 exploded plan view of internal arrangement of the firearm with the firing mechanism housing and breechblock released from their positions
- Fig. 3 side view of the firearm from the cartridge ejection port side.
- Firearm shown in Fig. 1 comprises a frame 1 with pistol grip 35 and folding stock 38 within the frame 1_ there is dynamic breechblock 5, slidably mounted on a guide rod 11, having a recess 52 formed on and accessible through a cartridge ejection port 5_i cut in the frame 1.
- Front end of the frame 1 houses a fixing collar la of a barrel 3 and has hole 48 drilled.
- the barrel 3 is screwed in the fixing collar la and extends through a cover 2 removably fixedly connected to the frame 1 by means of muzzle nut 6.
- Upper cavity of the cover 2 houses a cocking slide 16 of the breechblock 5 provided with a cocking slide lever 14 above the barrel 3.
- a firing mechanism housing 24 comprising a trigger mechanism 27, a hammer assembly 26, an integrated safety 34/shot selector 3 . assembly, a trigger guard 47 and magazine well 4 with magazine catch 18, where a magazine 42 is inserted, is with its rear lodged in the frame ⁇ and its front is pinned to the frame 1 by means of an assembly pin 17 slidably disposed in a hole 48 aligned in the firing mechanism housing 24 and the frame I.
- Dynamic breechblock 5 have a recess 52 formed on accessible through a cartridge ejection port 5_i cut in the frame I.
- Firearm with dynamic breechblock in particular embodiment of Fig. 1 comprises unlocked prism shaped dynamic breechblock 5.
- the breechblock 5 does not slide in slots provided in the frame i, but it is advantageously disposed on a guide rod !i . This allows the frame I to be made of stampings as well as of moulded plastics.
- the weapon fires in the front position of the breechblock 5, in the rear position recoil is absorbed by a hybrid bumper 13.
- the hammer assembly 26 and trigger mechanism 27 is housed in the firing mechanism housing 24, which may preferably be made of plastics.
- the trigger 28 has maximum resistance of 16 N.
- the integrated safety 34/shot selector 3JL assembly has double-sided selector lever 30, the catch 18 of a magazine 42 is positioned before the trigger guard 47 thus accessible form both sides.
- the lever 14 of the cocking slide 16 protrudes leftward in the upper front portion of the cover 2 and when the gun is fired it stays still.
- the barrel 3 has a bore with a standard rifling 250 mm long.
- the barrel 3 is not parallel to the frame I but is slightly biased upwards. Such an arrangement lowers moment of recoil and reduces shift of a gun as a result of recoil.
- Manual integrated safety 34/shot selector 3_1 assembly operated by double-sided selector lever 30 with the "safe”, “full automatic” and “semi automatic” positions.
- Vertical box type magazine 42 carrying 10, 20 and 30 cartridges are double- column feed type. Disassembling of the firearm is very easy. It is carried in a manner that the lever 14 of the cocking slide 6 is pulled backwards and turned 90° upwards. The breechblock 5 is thus moved to cocked position. Pulling the assembly pin 17 out leftwards, the firing mechanism housing 24 is disconnected from the frame whereas the firing mechanism housing 24 opens downwards and then the breechblock 5 along with the guide rod 1_1 are released in the same direction.
- the firearm can be assembled/disassembled en march within 15 seconds.
- Firearm assembly allows an instant replacement of main bodies, the barrel, breechblock, firing mechanism housing , i. e. altering barrel length and caliber, with possibility to attach sound suppressor, change of the firing mechanism housing with various firing modes, with or without hammer safety.
- the assembly further allows to use the great number of gun accessories, without application of weaver base adapters, atop the frame, e.g. "iron” sight, rifle scope or on the cover e. g. laser sighting system, lamp, fore handgrip.
- Firearm according to present invention is usable as personal defense weapon in weaponry of army, police, special forces, and other various types of armed forces.
