Abstract

The invention relates to a method for analyzing molten masses and the resulting solids. The inventive method comprises the following steps: placing a relatively small sample (9) of the molten mass in a test vessel (1) having at least one temperature sensor (4), wherein the test vessel has at least one test chamber (2) with walls (3); detecting the time/temperature curve of the sample fraction during cooling; evaluating the temperature/time curve using a computer program and assessing the chemical and physical state of the molten mass, wherein the gas permeability of the walls (3) of the test chamber (2) can be adjusted in a defined manner. The invention also relates to a device for analyzing molten masses.
